Laboratories

    Exploring, Experimenting and Learning

At Ishan Public School, we believe that practical learning is an essential part of meaningful education. Our laboratories provide students with opportunities to connect classroom concepts with real-life observations, experiments and applications. The school is committed to providing a safe, systematic and engaging practical-learning environment through dedicated laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science and Composite Science activities.

    Physics Laboratory

The Physics Laboratory provides students with opportunities to understand mechanics, electricity, magnetism, light, sound, heat and other areas of physics through practical activities and experiments. Students learn to use scientific instruments, take measurements, record observations and analyse experimental results.

    Chemistry Laboratory

The Chemistry Laboratory enables students to explore the properties and behaviour of different substances through supervised practical activities. Students are introduced to laboratory techniques such as observation, measurement, preparation of solutions, identification of substances and understanding chemical reactions.

    Biology Laboratory

The Biology Laboratory provides students with opportunities to explore the living world through practical observation and investigation. Students can develop their understanding of plant and animal structures, cells, tissues, biological processes and other concepts through appropriate specimens, models, slides and practical activities.

    Mathematics Laboratory

The Mathematics Laboratory makes mathematical learning more interactive, visual and activity-based. Students explore mathematical concepts using models, geometrical instruments, puzzles, charts, manipulatives and practical activities. This approach develops logical reasoning, problem-solving ability and mathematical thinking.

    Computer Laboratory

The Computer Laboratory provides students with practical exposure to information and communication technology. Students develop essential digital skills through hands-on activities involving computer applications, programming, problem-solving, digital tools and technology-based learning.

    Composite Laboratory

The Composite Laboratory provides an integrated space for practical and activity-based learning across different areas of science and related subjects. It supports demonstrations, projects, experiments and interdisciplinary activities that help students connect concepts from different subjects. Safety and Scientific Discipline

Safety is an integral part of laboratory education. Students are guided by teachers regarding the proper handling of equipment, instruments and laboratory materials. Practical activities are conducted under appropriate supervision, with emphasis on discipline, cleanliness, responsible use of resources and safe working practices. Learning Beyond the Textbook

Our laboratories encourage students to move beyond memorising facts and develop the habit of observing, questioning, experimenting and discovering.
    Observe. Experiment. Analyse. Discover. Learn.
